This pen has a piece of pine from the White House taken from the 1927 Calvin Coolidge remodel where they expanded up to a third floor. They pulled the pine beam out to put a steel beam in, and the wood was given to the national historical society. That is where my supplier gets the large pieces to put the smaller pieces in the pens I build. The image on the cap of the pen is a replica of the first official photograph of the White House. The pen comes with the certificate of authenticity an the stand to display it on. The certificate has a detailed description of the history of the White House up to the remodel in 1927, and the back of the certificate has photos before and after and a little more information. The pen is a usable roller ball and refillable fine writing instrument.
