This certifies that your hand crafted item was made from a used 40 gallon Coca-Cola barrel.

The barrel was originally used in the 1920's & 1930's to transport the syrup to businesses.

Coke was created in 1886, by John Pemberton who was a pharmacist. Earliest ads suggested that it had medical benefits. Coke was later billed as an alternative to alcohol. Coke began painting their barrels red in order to disquinsh them from the heavily taxed alcohol barrels.

The original recipe contained cocaine but was removed from the recipe in 1903. The trade secret recipe is held in a vault in Atlanta, GA.
